On May 9, 1926, the Death Angel crept into the home of Mr. T.L. Welch and claimed for his victim, the loving wife and mother.

She leaves a sorrowing husband, twelve children, several grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives to mourn her death.

She had been in bad health for two years, and had been confined to her bed since January. She suffered much during her illness.

In early life she surrendered herself to the Savior, and was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. She was always loyal to her church and a kind a loving wife and mother and a good neighbor. Her homefolks will miss her but can be comforted to know that she has gone home to her Savior and will someday meet them on that bright and shining shore, where ther will be no sickness nor sorrow. She was lowered in the grave Sunday afternoon, "Mother's Day," in the presence of a large crowd of friends and neighbors. Funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. Graves. Burial taking place in the Good Hope cemetery.

Her friend and neighbor,
(Miss) Georgia Butler
