Alice C. Leir
Alice C. Huiting was born October 30, 1913
in McHenry, North Dakota and passed away
on Tuesday, June 29 at 4:55 at St. John's
Lutheran hospital. She was married to
Ernest M. Leir on April 18, 1932 at Kensal,
N. D. To this union, two sons and three
daughters were born.
Mrs. Leir who has lived in Libby for the
past 12 years, has been an active member
of the First Lutheran church. She was
secretary of the ladies aid and a Sunday
school teacher.
Mrs. Leir is survived by her husband,
Ernest M. Leir; two sons. Richard and
Sidney; three daughters, Germaine,
Judith and Jane; her father, John
Huiting, Sr., of Courtney, N.D., three
sisters, Mrs. Leo Leir of Libby;
Mrs. John Baker of McHenry, ND.,
and Mrs. Margaret Heitpas of
Appleton, Wis,; five brothers
John Huiting Jr, of Appleton, Wis.
Joe of Reedsdille, Wis. Norbert of
Rochester, Minn., Ted of Little Chute,
Wis., and George of Alepna, Mich.
Funeral services will be held this
afternoon (Thursday) at the First
Lutheran church with Rev. Kermit
Forde, pastor of First Lutheran,
officiating. The pallbearers will be
three Leir brothers and three
brothers-in-law.
Burial will be in the Libby
cemetery.
