The former Bernice Trzeciak was born in Luther, MI., on April 20, 1917, the daughter of the late Bartholomew Trzeciak and Agnes (Nowak) Trzeciak.
Bernice married Henry Smith, he preceded her in death.
Bernice Smith married Lloyd Maeves, he preceded her in death.
Bernice Maeves married Sylvester Kolanda, he preceded her in death.
She worked many years as a nurse's aid in Menominee, she loved doing crossword puzzles and also her canvas needlework.
Bernice enjoyed seeing her cleaning lady Wendy, the Wednesday visits from a lady on the 13th floor of the Towers Building where she resided for many years.
She will be missed by her family and her life long friends.
Bernice Kolanda was survived by her grandchildren Milton, Kim, Teresa, Carol, Cheri, Dawn, William and Roger; numerous great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren.
