HEART ATTACK FATAL TO FRED R HORN ON MONDAY MORNING
Fred R Horn, 59, passed away Monday morning following a heart attack at his home at 448 N 4th St. Mr Horn had been a life long resident of Presque Isle County and for the past 41 years was employed by the Michigan Limestone Division as a locomotive engineer.
Born in Rogers Township on November 11, 1894, his marriage to Edna Fisher took place in Rogers City on April 4, 1920. He attended the Rogers City schools, was a member of the American Legion and served his country in World War I.
Surviving him are his wife, Edna; two son: Charles (Nancy) and Paul (at home); three daughters: Mrs Dorothy (Robert) LaLonde, Mrs Lois (Norman) Haselhuhn, and Corinne (at home), all of Rogers City; two sisters, Mrs Emma (Fred) Adrian of Rogers City and Mrs Edith (Otto) Peetz, Bismarck Township; and five grandchildren: John "Jack" Thompson, Larry Haselhuhn, Ruth Ann Haselhuhn, Michael LaLonde, and Michael Horn, all of Rogers City.
Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) from St John Ev Lutheran Church with the Rev Robert Weller officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from noon until services at 2:00pm. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

Fred, better known as "Tim" to his many friends, had been in ill health for some time. He was an "old timer" here at the plant having first started to work as a car checker on April 7, 1913. He became a locomotive engineer in 1916 in which capacity he worked until he passed away. He is survived by his widow, two sons and three daughters.
Funeral services were held from St John Ev Lutheran Church with the Rev Robert Weller officiating. Interment was in the Memorial Park cemetery.
