Jocelyn grew up in New Brunswick, NJ, attended St. Mary's in Peakskill, N.Y. and graduated from Westover in Middlebury, CT. She trained as a nurse at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. Jocelyn was married to David Kirkpatrick of Jamesburg, NJ from 1946 until his death in 1950. She married Douglas Fox of Alexandria, VA in 1954. She worked as a nurse and then volunteered at several hospitals and humane societies in her later years. She was a wonderful cook and loved dogs.
She is survived by her two children, David and wife, Lindy Kirkpatrick of Pensacola, FL, and Alison and her husband, Byram Tichenor of Las Vegas, NV; their three children, Jocelyn, Landon, and Chelsea; and her sister, Ida Spilman of Gulfstream, FL.
TRAHAN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 430 Beverly Parkway, Pensacola, FL, is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2006 at Christ Church Episcopal at 18 Wright Street with Rev. Harry Hill officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please make any gifts to the Humane Society.
