He was buried 17 Jan. 1892 in Worthington., Male Lane born 2 Dec. 1892 and died 12 Dec. 1892 and was buried 14 Dec. 1892 in Worthington, Ohio.
Silas Lane was found dead on 8 Nov. 1912 in Ross County Ohio. He was born about 1859 in Delaware County. His cause of death was carbolic acid taken for suicidal intent. A contributory factor was his habitual use of Morphine. Silas's death certificate indicates he was last seen alive on Nov. 7 and was found in a Log Cabin on Nov. 8 about 1:00 pm. He was buried in Greenlawn in Franklin County Ohio on Nov. 9, 1912. There is a comment on his death certificate that states: "no one knew about him as he lived a solitary life". . . no birth information, etc. He was the son of George R. Lane and Permelia Gould who married in 1843 in OH. Silas had two sisters, Angelene and Sarah and four brother's John, Richard, William and Benjamin. Ironically, Benjamin died in the Franklin County Home in 1923 of Syphlis.
