Albert Carter Sr., 77, died recently. Born April 27, 1914 in Boyd, Miss., he was the son of Jake and Mary Carter. He was a member of Mt. Olive M.B. Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillie Edward Carter: Eleven children, Albert Carter Jr. of Jonesboro, Edward Guy Carter of Fayetteville, N.C., Charles Wesley Carter of Inster, Mich., Verline Carter Palmore and Millicent Carter, both of Blytheville, Willie Lee Carter, Dorothey Carter and Naomi Carter Britman, all of Elkhart, Ind., Ronnie Dale Carter, of Blytheville, Frances Carter Oliver of Memphis and Robert Ray Carter of Madison, Wis.; Two brothers, Stanley Moore Jr. and Willie B. Leonard, both of Elkhart: Two sisters, Lucy Royal of Elkhart and Hattie Moore of Hayti; Thirty-six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred and Henry Moore and a sister, Mary Ann Moore.
Services were March 15 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive M.B. Church, the Rev. John Baker officiating, with burial in Memory Gardens at Blytheville, Ark., Wilson Funeral Home of Blytheville in charge.
