On the 1900 census they were living on Fishing Creek in Lincoln Co. on the farm of her sister Mace who was married to James Frank Reynolds. Elsie and David were living in the house where James Frank was born. He had built a new house on the farm. In 1910 they were in Waynesburg. Apparently thereafter they moved to IL where Elsie's sister Belle was living in 1910 (See Bio of David).
After the death of David, Elsie married Calvin Greer. The 10 March 1931 edition of the Interior Journal, Stanford, KY reported: Mr. C. U. Greer and Mrs. Elsie Lewis, both of Waynesburg, stole a march on their friends and quietly slipped away to Harrodsburg, where they were joined in the holy bonds of wedlock. The ceremony was performed by Rev. T. Hassell Bowen, of the Christian church, in Old fort Harrod on March 4th. Mr. Greer is one of the leading and prosperous merchants of Waynesburg, a good business man and pleasing in his manner, while the lady who has become his bride is one of the best known and most lovable women of the county. As Mrs. Lewis, she lived near Stanford on the Milledgeville and Moreland road, where she made friends with every one who met her. Genial and companionable, a lovely christian, the gentleman who has won her is to be congratulated, and the Interior Journal joins a host of friends in wishing that their married life may be filled with happiness and contentment.
Elsie and Calvin lived in Waynesburg where she died at age 71 of a liver problem (Certif. #04333). She is buried with her first husband.
