William G. Means, for many years a resident of this town, died at his home on Commonwealth Ave. Boston, last evening at the age of 78 years.
For 30 years he was treasurer of the Salmon Falls Manufacturing Co., and from its organization in 1854, until his death he was treasurer of the Manchester Locomotive Works. He was a director of the New England Bank and a member of Mt. Vernon church.
Five children, three sons and two daughters, survive him.
Husband of Martha Allen.
