Died Monday, May 24, 2004. Chuck was born on July 7, 1930 in Grand Rapids, MI, the son of Lewis and Anna (Andree) Winterhalter. On November 29, 1986 he married Donna Ballinger who survives him. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and a sister in law Barbara Winterhalter. He was a graduate of Grand Rapids Christian High School and had worked for many years as a salesman at VerMeulen's Furniture Store. Besides his wife, Chuck is survived by his son, Thomas Fill of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Kyle Fill and Kelly Fill, both of Kalamazoo; brother, Robert Winterhalter of Grand Rapids; a special sister in law and brother in law, Clarence and Wanda Dunifin of Drummond Island, MI; nieces and nephews; special friends, Nelson and Ruth Gritter of Kalamazoo. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St . with his pastor, the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Baker officiating. Interment at Maple Grove Cemetery, Comstock. Friends may call on the family at the funeral one hour prior to the service.
