Mary Jane Weatherbee is the daughter of Hiram Weatherbee and Mary Pleasants Bolling. She married William Waymon Hall. They came from Alabama to Texas in 1877. They had 9 children, including my great grandfather Charles Houston Hall who is the oldest child. They lived in Kaufman, Albany and Morgan, Texas. After her husband was placed in the Old Soldiers CSA Home in Austin, Texas, she came to Godley to visit Myrtle Hall Walker, her grand daughter and other relatives. She was with Myrtle when she got sick and died and they buried her in the Lot in Godley IOOF where Myrtle's baby Fannie Lou Walker is buried.

It is believed Mary Jane is a descendant of John Rolfe and Matoaka Pocahontas Powhatan through their son Thomas Powhatan Rolfe and his marriage to Jane Poythress. They had one daughter Jane Rolfe whose husband is Col Robert Thomas Bolling. On up the Bolling line to her mother Mary Pleasants Bolling. I do know that Mary Jane's daughter Mary Elizabeth Hall who married Clabourne Smith "Doc" Allison qualified for Indian Pension through record in the Allison family files.

Mary Jane's father Hiram Weatherbee's parents are Aaron Weatherbee and Elizabeth Blair Bolling. The same lineage goes up through this family also but I have not done as much research through this line. I am still working on it.

In the Mid 1950's my great Aunt Myrtle Hall Walker and my grandmother Lydia Belle Bandy Hall redid the plot in the Godley IOOF Cemetery. They could not remember Mary Jane's name because they had only known her as Grandmother Hall, so they put a new Tombstone in the plot where she is buried with the rest of her family and guessed at her year of birth. It took me a long time to find her name. Mary Jane Weatherbee Hall is my great great grandmother. Lloyd Ann
