Church Book, St. Paul's Evan. Church, Pg. 91:

Mr. Christian Urschel died June 11, 1912 at 4:15 a.m. after a long illness. He was born December 29, 1840 in Bethlehem (Ohio) to John Urschel and his wife Margaretha. He attended school in Bolivar, Ohio and was confirmed April 24, 1859 by Pastor Durr. In his 25th year, the deceased was married to Miss Anna Maria Reiff on September 5, 1865. This marriage produced 5 children, 1 son and 4 daughters. (2 daughters died after being married). Later he moved to Bippus, Ind. There his wife died January 27, 1875. On March 27, 1876 he was married for the second time to Miss Henriette Biehl, ceremony by Pastor Vontobel. This marriage of 36 years produced 3 children, 2 sons and 1 daughter. After his 2nd marriage he moved here. Last winter he had Grippe and was ailing since that time. He was mostly unconscious the last days of his life. He died at the age of 71 years, 5 months, 16 Days, leaving his wife, 3 sons, and 3 daughters, 28 grandchildren, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral text: Isaiah 46:4.
