Eulalia Wellden - 78, Archivist/Genealogist

Athens - Funeral for Eulalia Wellden, 78, of Huntsville will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at McConnell Funeral Home with James Adams officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wellden died Monday, March 13, 2000, at the Columbia Medical Center in Huntsville.

She was born November 16, 1921, in Danville to William Yancey and Eugenia Prater Yancey.

She was a member of the Madison Genealogical Society and the Church of Christ. She also was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy.

She was the widow of Robert Clyde Wellden and the stepmother of the late Forrest Wellden and Johnny Wellden.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda F. McLemore of Athens; one stepdaughter, Patricia Burgreen of Athens; two sisters, Myra Kay of Huntsville and Ruth Lindsey of Union Grove; two grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ted McLemore, Douglas Raney, Bill Blanton, Bud Allen, Joel Glaze and Bill Adams.
