Mr. Distler, a former brewer, had been retired for about 17 years. He was the oldest member of the Germania Lodge, F. & A.M., which he joined in 1897. Three sons survive him, Ernest, Harry and Theodore A. Distler. Mrs. Distler was a member of St. Paul's Church. She was Mr. Distler's third wife and is survived by a daughter, Miss Adel M. Fox.
