ROSEDALE — Thomas "Junior" Briddick, 77, of Rosedale, went to be with the Lord at 5:08 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 2010. He was born May 25, 1932, in Rosedale, to the late Thomas Briddick Sr. and Cora Briddick. He retired from JI Case in Terre Haute, and with the Town of Rosedale. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Wilma Rose Stith Briddick, whom he married June 16, 1956, in Terre Haute; two sons, Charles Briddick, and Michael Briddick and his wife Brenda of Rosedale; four granddaughters, Amanda Jukes, Caryn Birk, Ashley Briddick and Ginni Thompson; eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Beulah Johnson and Shirley Clodfelter. He was a member of Rosedale Baptist Church. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was an avid coon hunter and also enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. He graduated from Rosedale High School, and was a scoutmaster of Pack 476 in Rosedale, for many years.Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, at the church, 116 N. Depot St., with Pastor Randy McPike officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home, 287 Main St.
