Opal Webster Florence (nee Kabler), 92, Ripley, Ohio, met her savior on Monday, Oct. 5, 2009 at her residence.

She was retired from the U.S. Shoe Co. after 46 years of service, she was a life long member of the Ripley Church of Christ and a charter member of the DAV unit #90 of Ripley, Ohio.

Mrs. Florence was born on Dec. 16, 1916 in Germantown, KY. the daughter of the late Joseph L. and Hazel P. (Hollis) Kabler. She was also preceded in death by her two husbands, Arnold Webster and Ernest Florence, one daughter, Mary Lou Teegarden, two brothers, James "Slim" Kabler and Howard "Shorty" Kabler, four sisters, Lizzie Roush, Norma Jean Boone, Joyce Melois and Geneva Kabler.




Mrs. Florence is survived by three daughters, Virginia Grierson, Xenia, Edna Lewis, Manchester, and Patricia Teegarden, Ripley, two sisters, Phyllis Edmisten, Ripley, and Lizzie Roush, New Carlisle. She is also survived by her son in law Melvin Teegarden, husband of Patricia, whom she resided with during most of her adult life, her grandson Anthony McDaniel and Donna Neu whom was her daily companion during her last few months. In addition, she is survived by 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 40 great great grandchildren and 2 great great great grandchildren.
