Anna Schreiber, 93, formerly of 804 Adams Street, Kiel, died Tuesday, May 3, 1994 at Calumet Homestead Nursing Home, New Holstein where she was a resident the past year.
She is the former Anna Maurer, born April 22, 1901 in the town of Schleswig, a daughter of the late Christopher and Anna Mueller Maurer. She attended school in Millhome. On Aug. 24, 1921 she married Roland Schreiber at Kiel Lutheran church. She and her husband were cheesemakers in the town of Meeme for 30 years before retiring in 1950. Her husband Roland preceded her in death on March 4, 1964. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Schwarzwald.
Survivors include one sister-in-law, Jenny Hoppe, a resident of Sunnyridge Nursing Home, Sheboygan; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Phillip; one infant brother and two infant sisters.
Funeral services were held Thursday at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, with the Rev. Lloyd Fried, pastor of St. John UCC, Schwarzwald and the Rev. Dean Roy Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Kiel City Cemetery.
