He was born in the Town of Meeme Jan. 7, 1898, the son of Henry and Minna Schreiber, and was married Aug. 24, 1921, at Kiel to Anna Maurer of the Town of Schleswig.
Mr. Schreiber operated cheese factories at Millhome and School Hill before purchasing the Schreiber Cheese Factory which he operated in the Town of Meeme for 30 years.
He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Schwartzwald, and from 1950 to 1960 served as caretaker at the church cemetery.
Surviving are two brothers, Edwin and Paul, both of rural Kiel, and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Hoppe, rural Cleveland and Mrs. Richard Hanke, rural Plymouth.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. John's UCC with the Rev. E. L. Henning, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Kiel Cemetery.
