Leonard E. Riley, Leonard E. Riley, 83, of Springfield, died on Thursday morning Oct. 14, 2004, in the Ohio Masonic Home.

He was born on Oct. 28, 1920, in New Jasper, the son of Alva William and Irma Roberds Riley.

Mr. Riley farmed land in Clark County most of his life and was a member of the Nation Chapel United Methodist Church, and the Ohio Farm Bureau.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Dorothy Riley of Springfield; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Ron Taulton of Enon; stepson and daughter-in-law, Lee and Cindy Taulton of Louisiana; sisters and a brother-in-law, Mildred Riley of London, and Lucille and Elmer Pelphrey of West Jefferson; a brother, Robert Riley of Camden; grandchildren, Chris and Nicole Taulton, Duke Taulton, Cathy Taulton, Kaitlin and Matthew Taulton; great-grandchildren, Cody and Kyle Taulton; special friends, Harlan and Lucille Miller.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Harvey Taulton; sister, Dorothy Riley; brother, Ronald Riley; grandson, Robert Taulton.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 17, in the LITTLETON AND RUE FUNERAL HOME, Springfield where the service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 18, 2004. Pastor Cindee Johnson of the Nation Chapel United Methodist Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
