Services for Gertrude Nethery, 101, of Redding will be Saturday at Allen-Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding. The Rev. Lee Jordan of Hope Southern Baptist Church in Redding will officiate. Burial will be at Wilbarger Memorial Park in Vernon, Texas.
Mrs. Nethery died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005, at Applewood Inn care center in Redding.
Born April 3, 1904, in Hartshorne, Okla., she moved to Shasta County in 1993 from Fort Worth, Texas. She was -- homemaker and member of Calvary Baptist Church in Vernon.
Survivors include sons Glenn of Benbrook, Texas, Manuel of Paris, Texas, Dub of Anderson, Dan of Iowa Park, Texas, and Edwin of Odessa, Texas; sister Lois McConnell of Albuquerque, N.M.; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
