She had been critically ill for the last four weeks.
She was born near Lemasters, daughter of James and Sarah (Keller) Benedict and had been a resident of Philadelphia for the last 50 years.
Mrs. Book was a member of the First Church of the Brethren, Philadelphia, and was active in all church work.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Deardorff, Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home, Boonsboro, and Mrs. Jerome Shank, Waynesboro.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 8 p.m. from the Franklinfield and Chadwick Funeral Home, Ardmore.
Further services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. from the Grove Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Dean Crouse. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
