Mrs. Eudora Ragan Turner, age 78 of Oglethorpe, Georgia, died Saturday, March 26, 1983 in The Oaks Nursing Home, Marshallville, Ga. Funeral services were held at 3 pm Sunday, March 27 in the Oglethorpe Baptist Church. The Rev. Bill Deakins officiated. Burial was in OGLETHORPE MEMORIAL GARDENS.
Mrs. Turner was born in Rochelle, Georgia, May 10, 1904, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Ragan. She lived in Oglethorpe for approximately 55 years and was the wife of the late Thomas O. Turner. She was a graduate of Georgia College in Milledgeville and a retired school teacher, having taught in Macon County for the past 35 years. She was also a member of the Oglethorpe Baptist Church.
Survivors are two sisters-in-law, Mrs. H. C. Bessinger of Perry, Miss, Katherine Turner of Atlanta; four nephews, Gordon McCarthy of Oglethorpe, Willard McCarthy of Hohenwald, Tenn; Carlton Bessinger of Atlanta, John Slade of Jonesboro and one niece, Mrs. Jimmy Connell of Perry.
Pallbearers were J. H. Taylor, Bill Powell, Bill Scovill, M. L. Shealy, Jr., Jamie Williams and Dr. Richard Chase.
Watson-Mathews Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
