Never married. Son of Rev William Redmond Heath and his wife Emily (Salmon) Heath. Oliver Heath served time in the Leavenworth Federal prison. No one in family has yet known oral history of why this occurred. For a time he worked as a 'hired' hand on the farm of his cousin Marvin and Ruth White in Cedar Co MO and their oral history stated simply that they 'didn't want him around.'

Oliver Heath was arrested Aug 11, 1927 in Ponca City, OK and was sentenced to 18 mos in federal prison (Leavenworth) on Dec 7, 1927 for 'Possession of Liquor in Indian Country'. At the time he listed his residence as Ponca City, OK. He was discharged April 14, 1930 and stated nearest relative as his brother John Heath also listed in Ponca City, OK. At time of arrest his occupation was listed as farmer.

Note: His married sister Ruanne (Heath) White was also living in OK around this time.

Note for other Heath descendants. I have some other very old 'group photographs' of the Daviess County Heaths and need help in identifying the people in them if anyone can help on that, please contact me.
