Elsie Kinkade Faith, age 94, our beloved mother, Mimi to her grandchildren and special Aunt Elsie, passed away at the home of her daughter in Ft. Worth, TX on January 15, 2010. Elsie was born near the Gober community in Fannin County, TX on June 6, 1915.
Elsie was the last direct descendent of pioneer family Andrew Lee and Minnie Gordon Kinkade. Elsie married Lewis Faith on September 3, 1942 in Durant, Oklahoma. Lewis and Elsie owned and operated Faith's Jewelry on the Bonham square for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Faith on July 18, 1986 and a great-grandson, Cody Emberton, on March 26, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Myrtle and Hettie and brothers, Mack, Andy, Roy, Harvie, Arris and twin-brother Elmer Lee "Buddy".
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Rollin Bledsoe of Ft. Worth, son, Lewis ‘Butch' Faith of Bonham and son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Sherry Faith of Lubbock; 6 grandchildren: Kathy McKinney and husband Steve, Lisa Gregg and husband Clint, Dara Couch, Tonya Bell and husband J.R., Jim (Jimbo) Faith and John Faith ; 8 great-grandchildren: Kelsie, Travis, Brandon, Cade, Faith, Jacob, Linzie and Katie; and many nieces and nephews who always had a special place in their hearts for ‘Aunt Elsie'.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
Funeral services for Elsie Kinkade Faith will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham. Rev. Bill Beasley will officiate the service. Family visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham.
Much thanks to Covenant Hospice and especially "Marlene" who helped care for Elsie in her last months and very special thanks to Linda and Rollin for their loving care since 2004.
