She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Mona Ponsock of Baton Rouge; three granchildren, Allyson, Alicia and Joe Bert "Trey" Ponsock III, Baton Rouge; two sisters, Marie Averette of Livingston and Lila Fayard; and a brother, Leonard Henderson, Chalmette.
She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, a volunteer at St. Anthony rectory and the St. Anthony Food Bank. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, gardening and cooking. She will live forever in our hearts.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church, 2580 Tecumseh St., Baton Rouge, LA 70805. The family also greatly appreciated the kindness and care of Hospice of Baton Rouge.
