John Yost formerly of 1127 Seymour,died Feb.17,1944,in a nursing home after a nine month illness.
He was born in New York City,son of the late Henry and Margaret Hess Yost. He came to this city as a youth and lived here practically all his life. He was a cigarmaker by occupation,retiring about 15 years ago. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Church and in 1896 he was married to Mary Ellen Feeney in St.Joseph's Church. She died April 29,1943.
He leaves two daughters,Mrs William Pfeifer,Utica and Mrs Merton A. Harrington, Whitesboro; two sisters.Sophia Yost and Mrs Josephine Schreck of Utica; a brother, Martin Yost,Utica; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
