Thomas Scott Reynolds, 82, died Monday, April 26, 2004, at Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory, Mississippi, after a brief illness. He was oldest child born June 16, 1921,near Doddsville Ms. to the late George Matthew and Ora Virginia West Reynolds. He worked on cotton farms in Sunflower and Leflore counties prior to entering the U.S.Army during WWII.He took basic training at Ft.D.A.Russell at Marfa Texas,then he went to Camp Blanning Florida prior to going to the European Theater of war .After his discharge he again worked on farm near Ruleville before attending Trades Training Institute of Mississippi State College at Prairie Mississippi, here he learned painting and paper hanging.He later worked as a vehicle processor for Machine Products Company at Prairie. He lived in Aberdeen and in Nettleton for several years. He was a painter by trade until his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion and a Baptist. He enjoyed fishing and playing dominoes. He married Lillie Mae Adams in 1964; she preceded him in death in 2001.

Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. on April 29, 2004, at Liberty Cemetery in Itawamba County, Mississippi, with Bro. Tommy Whaley officiating.A brief eulogy by his younger brother Robert D.Reynolds. E. E. Pickle Funeral Home of Amory was in charge of the arrangements.

Servivors included two stepsons, Buddy Wildman and wife, Marie, and Billy Wildman and wife, Harriett, all of Nettleton; a stepdaughter, Dorothy Hester and husband, Harlon, of Amory; a brother Robert Reynolds of Titusville, Florida; a sister Ann Olauson of Seattle, Washington; four stepgrandchildren, Jerry Wayne Wildman, Ricky Wildman, Billie Joe Wildman and Dianne Wildman; several great grandchildren.Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a brother,Henry Raymond Reynolds.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
