Obituary - Huntington Herald, Jan. 13, 1913
Mrs. Elizabeth Rudig, 65, died at her home in Andrews yesterday morning at 6:30 o'clock, death being due to cancer. She had been ailing for the past two years, her condition becoming serious about six weeks ago.
Mrs. Rudig was born in Stark County, Ohio, July 6, 1847, the daughter of Theobold and Eva Biehl. She was married to Jacob Rudig May 9, 1867 and to this union five children were born, who with two sisters and four brothers survive. The children are Mrs. Matilda Hanselman, Mrs. Martha Spencer, Malinda Rudig and Charles and William Rudig. The sisters are Mrs. Christian Urschel and Mrs. Jacob Click of Wabash County and the brothers are Philip of Wabash County and Henry, Charles and Jacob Biehl of Ohio.
Mrs. Rudig was a member of the German Evangelical Church for sixty-one years. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon leaving the residence at 1 o'clock and going to the church of that denomination eight miles west of Huntington for services and burial.
