In October of 1880, a British-led Indian raid in on towns along the White River Valley in Vermont was due to the American Revolutionary War. The younger boys considered to young to march to Montreal were released, however, Adin remained and died in the Montreol camp months later. It was to be the last major Indian raid in New England.)
