Ottawa Herald 4 Sept 1939:
"Mrs. Sarah Alice Chesnut of 336 Logan Street, died sudenly at her home early Thursday morning, August 31, 1939. She had been in failing health.
She was born in Springfiled, Illinois on September 22 1857, daughter of Thomas and Frances Baker. She moved to Waverly with her parents. She was married to A. R. Chesnut at Waverly in 1888. The moved to Ottawa 30 years ago. Mrs. Chesnut was a member of Trinity M.E. Church.
She is survived by a son, Earl R. Chesnut, Ottawa; a sister, Mrs Henrietta Crawford, San Juan, Texas; three brothers, John L. Baker of Waverly, Carl Baker of Seattle Washington, Charles Baker of Ottawa and a grandson.
Funeral services were held at Limo Funeral Home Saturday Morning, Sept 2 at 10:30."
