Virginia Alice White

Virginia Alice White, 93, of Mt. Sterling, died Thursday evening, January 14, at Fountain Circle Health & Rehabilitation in Winchester. She was born November 9, 1916 in Estill County, to the late Hugh and Martha Snowden.

Mrs. White grew up in Powell County and moved to Mt. Sterling 62 years ago and retired from Bluegrass Industries as plant manager in 1980. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include; a son, Scotty White of Mt. Sterling; one brother, Bruce Snowden (Carol) of Clay City; four grandchildren, Gabe White, Scotty White, Kristy Walters (Lanny), Misty Malone (Banford) all of Mt. Sterling and also six great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Ray Scott White, three brothers; Roscoe Snowden, Bill Snowden, and Herbert Snowden, two sisters; Carolyn Welch and Verla Toler.
Pallbearers include; Scotty "Bub" White, Gabe White, Lanny Walters, Banford Malone, Ben Moore and Kris Moore.

The family request that In Lieu of Flowers, donations be made to Hospice East, 407 Shoppers Drive, Winchester, Kentucky 40391.

Graveside service, Monday, January 18, 2:00PM at Machpelah Cemetery with Rev. Wendell Clevinger officiating.
