Veteran of the War of 1812. Stephen Carson was drafted at Newburgh, Orange County, New York and served as a Private in Capt. Seth Belknapp's company of the 2nd Regiment of New York Militia from August to December 1814 (Pension No. 13569).
Stephen Carson married his first wife, Julina, in 1818 and moved they moved to Java, Wyoming County, New York the same year. Julina died in March 1846, and Stephen married Mary Bryant in October 1846. They continued to live in Wyoming County until relocating to Hastings, Adams County, Nebraska around 1875.
