David was a Vetern of the Revolutionary War. He enlisted in Sept. 1776 at Roxbury as a private in Capt. Stephen Browns Co.(Records avail.)He was one of the first 6 settlers in in Painted Post township NY 1790. Born either in Southhampton NY or Chester, NJ. Received Rev. War Pen.
