MIDDLESBORO — Oma Ingram Barton, age 76, went home to be with the Lord on December 9, 2010.

Born October 20, 1934, she was the daughter of the late George and Dora Ingram.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Clifford (Ned) Barton; granddaughter, Ashley Paulette Barton; sisters, Virgie Davis, Aileen Lovell, Geneva Hubbard, Ollie Hansard, and Lorene Smith.

She is survived by her seven children and spouses: Sheila (Conley) Price, Speedwell, Clayton (Teresa) Barton, Tazewell, Pam (Larry) Jackson, Campbellsburg, Ky., Paul (Vickie) Barton, Middlesboro, J.D. (Pam) Barton, Middlesboro, Melissa (Wade Jr.) Hurst, Athens, Ala., and Stephen (Rachel) Barton, Middlesboro; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, brothers, and their families:, Ruby Mason, Middlesboro, Zelma Quillen, Colmar, Velma Barton, Romulus, Mich., and Dempsey Ingram, Tazewell. She also leaves behind her church family at Meldrum Missionary Baptist Church, which she loved very much, as well as a host of family and friends; and special caregivers, Dr. C.A. Moore, Margie, and staff, Dr. Brenda Nicholson and staff at Baker Cancer Treatment Center, and the staffs of Amedysis Health Care and Hospice.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 11, at Meldrum Baptist Church from 12-2 p.m., with the funeral immediately following.

The Rev. Richard Barnett and Rev. Rondal Daniel will be conducting the services. Singing will be provided by Barry Barton and The Barton Trio.

Burial will be at Mt. Mary Cemetery at Yellow Hill. Pallbearers will be Barry Barton, Keith Barton, David Fuson, Scottie Barton, Alan Barton, Marvin Barton, Tim Barnett, Terry Quillen, Mark Mason, and Ronnie Smith.
