Died at his home near Silver Lake, MO. on Tuesday Aug 1, 1916 at 11 a.m. Alexander French, at the age of about 72 years.
Mr. French was a good and kind father a loving husband and a most sociable and agreeable neighbor. His wife preceded him to the grave several years ago.
He leaves to mourn his death 5 sons they are O.J. of near Barks, Wm., Jess, Geo., and Louis of Flat River; 4 daughters Mrs. E. McFarland and Mrs. A. Vertrees, of Flat River, Mrs. M. Garner of Ark. and Mrs. Theo. Geile at home.
Mr. French was a farmer by occupation and spent practically all his life on a farm near Silver Lake with the exception of about three years which he spent in this city.
Besides the children named above he leaves to mourn his death other relatives and friends. His remains were laid to rest in Hick's Cemetery near Yount yesterday. May he rest in peace.
