Mrs. Addie E. Harrison, 85, of 35 East Territorial road, widow of Chart Harrison, died at 6:15 a. m. today in a local nursing home following a long illness. She had resided at 241 West Territorial road for more than 30 years before she fell and broke her hip last year. Since that time Mrs. Harrison had made her home with her adopted daughter, Mrs. Carl Warner of 35 East Territorial road, and Mr. Warner. Mrs. Harrison was born near Fulton, Jan. 18, 1868, a daughter of Aaron and Susan (Pierce) Harrison. She was one of the few women whose names do not change upon marriage, because she was married to Chart Harrison on Feb. 3, 1891. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1941. Mr. Harrison died on Nov. 8, 1943. Mrs. Harrison was a member of the First Congregational church, and of the Elizabeth Tilly circle of the church. In addition to her adopted daughter, she is survived by a brother, Jason C. Harrison of Cobden, Ill., and several nieces and nephews. Battle Creek Enquirer March 10, 1953 page 9
