Roy Daniel Anderson, 72, died early Monday morning on the 50th wedding anniversary of his first marriage, at the Gooding Memorial Hospital of a long illness.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, April 12 at Thompson Chapel by Herman Pope, minister of Church of Christ.
Merrill Womach sang "Rock of Ages" and "Going Home" accompanied by Dean Kincaid.
Pall bearers were Walter Sizemore, Bill Sizemore, Charlie Fuqua, Melvin McGhee, George Jenkins and George Nelson.
Final rites were held in the Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Chapel.
He was born Aug. 13, 1894, in Atwood, Kan., and attended school at Leavenworth, Kan.
He farmed at Norwood, MO, from 1917 for many years.
On April 10, 1917, he married Clara Elizabeth Kaden in Herndon, Kan.
In 1942, they moved to Casper, Wyo., and in 1960 came to Gooding.
Mrs. Anderson died Dec. 16, 1963.
On July 31, 1964, he married Elsie May Bell in Gooding.
Survivors include his widow; one son, Daniel Anderson, Independence, MO; three daughters, Mrs. Lois Yandell, Spingfield, MO; Mrs. Velma Landers, McCall, and Mrs. Pat Sullivan, Portland; one sister, Mrs. Elsie Little, Leavenworth, Kan.; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
