HARTSBURG WOMAN DIES
Mrs. Jacob Zumwalt Survived by Husband and Seven Children - Burial Wednesday
Mrs. Jacob Zumwalt died Tuesday evening at her home east of Hartsburg. She had not been in good health for some time. She was 72 years old.
Mrs. Zumwalt was born In Warren County, April 20, 1859. She became a member of the Lutheran Church when a girl. She was married to Herman Hormeyer in 1873 and two children, Mrs. Annie Hollicker of Jefferson City and Mrs. Louisa Benskin of Portland, Mo., were born to this union. She was married to Charles Koffee and five children were born: Mrs. Lydia Jones of Osage; John Koffee, Mrs. James Cain and Mrs. Everett Cain, all of Jefferson City; and Mrs. Mattie Smith of Eldon, Mo.
Her third marriage was to Jacob Zumwalt, who survives her.
Funeral services were held at Mt. Pleasant Church Wednesday afternoon by the Rev. H. P. Cheavens. Burial was made in the church cemetery.
