Obituary. Ralph C. Carter, Jr. died October 3, 1999 in Mesa, Arizona.
He was the son of Ralph Charles Carter and Lucy Mack Smith, born May 1, 1918 in Salt Lake City.

He was a veteran of World War II where he, as an infantryman, released his own brother from a prison camp.

Electrician by trade. Married Ida Pullen in Detroit, May 31, 1947, divorced. Recently married Eliane Workman in Mesa, Jan. 1997.

He is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Phillips and Susanne Edgeworth, both of Mesa; one son, David of Flagstaff; three step-children and wife; brothers, Richard of Concord, CA; Jason of Kearns; Paul of Grand Rapids, MI; sisters, Helen Monson and Margaret Kafer, both of South Jordan. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lucy May Silver.

Graveside services were held in Mesa, October 6, 1999.
