Edmund "Tom" Jr., age 81, of Hillpoint, died on Tuesday at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center. He was born to Edmund Thomas Sr. & Mary G. (Rakowsky) Powers. He was married to Corinne V. Dixon on June 18, 1955, in Racine. This marriage was blessed with three children. He was an insurance agent in Brookfield for 35 years and from 1987-1993 he was an insurance consultant until he moved to rural Hillpoint in 1993. He enjoyed nature and being an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Corinne of Hillpoint, WI; children, Bernadine M. Powers of Chicago, IL, Daniel J. (Jean M.) Powers of Brookfield, WI, and Loretta A. (Curt M.) Kettler of Platteville, WI; grandchildren, Brianna J. Powers, Hayley R. Powers, Aidan T. Powers, Cori M. Kettler and Kelly A. Kettler; a special nephew, Michael T. Lynch of London, England; and other nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Kasi Ilene Kettler; his brother, Richard M. Powers; and his sister, Loretta Lynch. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Loreto The family requests memorials of remembrance be made to the American Diabetes Association. The Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg is assisting the family with the arrangements.
