Flora Decker was born August 21, 1845, the 5th of 6 children of John and Sarah Zimmer Decker. Her maternal grandparents were Philip and Elizabeth Valentine Zimmer, pioneers to Ohio from Pennsylvania and Maryland, respectively. Flora passed away June 10, 1873, in Findlay, Hancock County, Ohio, at the age of 27 years. It appears she was never married. She was buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay.
