ANDERSON JONES, 91, of Memphis, retired farmer, died Saturday at Methodist Hospital. Services will be at noon Wednesday at Mt. Olive AME Church in Millington, where he was a member of the Stewards Board, with burial in Williams Chapel Cemetery there. Millington Funeral Home has charge. Mr. Jones, the husband of Ethel Jones, also leaves a daughter, Ommer Tidwell of Cassopolis, Mich.; four sons, L. C. Jones and James Otis Jones, both of New York City, and Walter Jones and Arthur Jones, both of Memphis; a brother, Rev. Leamon Jones of Memphis, 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. (Published in The Commercial Appeal 4/6/1993)
