Born December 9, 1925, in St. Charles, Armstrong County, he was a son of Jerry and Rosetta Criswell Bailey.
He married Ruby McGregor on November 10, 1945. She survives.
Mr. Bailey had been employed for 27 years for H.K.Porter Co. of St. Charles and as a mechanic for 19 years for C&K Coal Company before retiring.
He was a member of the Putneyville United Methodist Church.
Mr. Bailey was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Lindon Bailey of Distant and William Bailey of Rochester Mills; one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Pickens of Sharon; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters, Betty DeBlasio of Seminole, Anne Coward of Freeport and Connie Salvadori of Seminole; and one brother, Tim Bailey of New Bethlehem RD 1.
Preceding him in death were three brothers, Vyron Bailey, Bill Bailey and Bud Bailey; and one sister, June Early.
Funeral serices were held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Charles D. Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn with the Rev. Russell Hawk and the Rev. Roger Smith, co-officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Beautiful Lookout, Armstrong County.
