Lawrence C. Allen, 85, who had resided at 512 Second Ave. E. passed away at home early Tuesday morning.
Mr. Allen was born Sept. 22, 1879 at East Port, Ind. He spent his childhood near Des Moines, Iowa and received his elementary and college education in Iowa.
On Aug. 2, 1913, he was married to Nora Milton at Lethbridge, Alta. They lived in Canada for a few years, later moving to Great Falls and to Washington.
Mr. Allen was chief accountant at the Washington State Prison at Walla Walla for eight years before his retirement.
In 1959, he came to Kalispell where he made his home with his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. T. Dale Edwards, since that time.
Mr. Allen was a Methodist and attended the Epworth Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora, On Aug. 22, 1959, and has no immediate survivors.
Funeral services for Mr. Allen will be announced at a later time by the Johnson Funeral Home.
