Hulda Coleman Haskew Dalmont was born to Salina and John Coleman in Wayne Co. Missouri. Hulda's father died when she and her sister Julia were very young. Her Mother, Salina later married Wilburn Beatty. Hulda had four Beatty half-siblings. The Beatty family moved to Grayson Co. Texas in 1876. Later settling in Johnson Co. On June 17, 1879 Hulda married John Wesley Haskew in Johnson Co. Three sons were born to this union. John Wesley Haskew died in 1885 in Oklahoma Indian Territory. Shortly after her husbands death Hulda, her children, parents, Julia's orphaned boys and her only surviving sibling, Richard all moved to San Diego CA. The stay was short. Two years later the family returned to Texas and settled in Taylor Co. On Dec. 25, 1895 Hulda married Louis N. Dalmont.
