NORWOOD -- Mrs. Almond, 89, died Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at Britthaven of Piedmont.
Funeral is 11 AM Saturday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Mike Burris officiating. Interment in Green Memorial United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday at Edwards Funeral Home.
Mrs. Almond was born in Stanly County on April 20, 1917, daughter of the late Walter Virgil and Martha Adkins Farmer, and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Almond was preceded in death by her husbands, George B. Kimrey, James Bruce Poplin and Clyde D. Almond, Sr.
Survivors include her brothers, Dwight B. Farmer of Norwood, NC and James V. Farmer of Longwood, FL; sister, Geraldine Dennis of Troy, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
