Henry came to the US in 1859 and came to Texas in 1865.
He served 5 years with the US Army. When he lived in Lee Co, he was told by a judge his service made him a citizen. He voted for since he was 21. He was a citizen of Belton 32 years. He registered under the Enemy Alien Registration Law to become a citizen at 72 years old.
