Funeral services for Alice Stansell, age 88, of Fort Worth will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2003, at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor David Rhode officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home of Lubbock. She passed away June 14, 2003, in Fort Worth. Alice Stansell, daughter of Frederick Gustav and Hildagaard Grawunder, was born Dec. 25, 1914, in Taylor, Texas. She married J.C. Stansell, Jr., on July 1, 1937; they lived their entire married life in Lubbock and were members of Redeemer Lutheran Church since the early 1940s. Alice was active in the church for many years and devoted time and energy to its various activities, especially the Ladies Guild. Alice was the mother of two sons, Gary of Northfield, Minn., and Russ of Fort Worth; and the grandmother of Amanda Stansell of Madison, Wis. She is also survived by two sisters, Leona Phipps of Wichita, Kan., and Gladys Stice of Brownfield; and one brother, Kenneth Grawunder of Flower Mound, Texas
