SIMUEL (SIM) VAUGHAN left Bosque County, Texas in 1900 and went to Erick, Beckham County, Oklahoma where he filed on land in Indian Territory. He married Catherine De Vaughan in 1906. His farm is now the east half of Erick, Oklahoma. Catherine Vaughan taught school. They left Oklahoma in 1917 for Texas. Sim was a farmer all his life. They were living in Silverton, Texas at the time of their death, (Eugene) Gene Vaughan (their son) lived with them and helped take care of them after they retired.
