Suggested edit: Mrs. Octa Brown Moore, 63, wife of Rev. A.M. Moore, died suddenly yesterday morning at her home, 38 Dorsey Avenue, Brandon Mill. For some time she had been in failing health. Mrs. Moore spent her early life in Macon County, N.C., where she was born and reared, a daughter of the late David Franklin Brown and Dulcena Patton Brown. She located in Greenville 40 years ago and for the past 15 years had resided with her family in the Brandon community. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church of Macon County, N.C. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. C.N. Riddle and Mrs. R.S. Goforth: seven sons, J.E., H.L., and C.S. Moore, Pvt. Carl E. Moore, Pfc. Amon Nedes Moore, Pfc. J.P. Lloyd Moore and Pvt. Q.D. Floyd Moore and seven grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. H.P. Thomas and Miss. Ellie Brown: six brothers, A.E., H.O., R.C., Benjamin F., R.F., and R.M. Brown. Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed pending the arrival of relatives out of the city. Further announcements will be made by Thomas McAfee Funeral Home.
